A day in the life of Crookshanks

I love curling up on a comfy bed. A huge bed, hotel beds! I love big fluffy beds that just make you want to sleep laying down on them. Its been awhile since i've had this privledge- ive chased around kids all summer to earn 1,000 dollars to come back for my brothers senior musical and graduation. I've made the cutt with some money left (around 80$) i'm pretty proud of myself. I'm coming back!

Its 19 days until i start my other internship, I'm super .... slowly.... getting excited. More nervous, but i'm curious how i'm going to react to this internship so i'm keeping this blog to find out how i react to things, and to give other wizards/ muggles advice about this upcoming experience.

Nice thing: Sarah made twice as much this summer. Probably five times as much. darn it.

Bah-stin

I've asked the Head Master for an extension of muggle studies. She's granted it with a promise i can have an internship for the wing of muggle life habits and psycology in the Ministry of Magic when i return. it'll be four years until i return, and sadly this internship is a sad one.

I'll be leaving this four year internship that i've grown so close to for another one. and i'm pretty sad about leaving

since its summer i've decided to stay with my muggle family, i'm the only witch in the family after all. It gets hard sometimes but everyone's pretty supportive. I love going on muggle vacations, doing absolutley nothing. Muggles are so wonderfully lazy sometimes. I'm in Boston, and i'm having the time of my life next to the beach :)

Hyena... Oh Summer Muggle Crushes.

You know those moments where one gets starstruck?
I get star struck every single summer. Each summer i get closer to my crush, but then the summer ends and i get over it. Dang it. MY crush this year apparently looks like a Hyena. And so far the farthest we've gotten is a flirtacious comment. Lilly Evans is not flirty, Lilly Evans is fiery when needed, lovable, shy, studious, caring, nice. Not flirty. Heck no not flirty. So i'm proud of myself

I haven't told Lupin aka my best friend... but its not like we share braclets, we just tell eachother everything except its hard to tell him... i haven't liked a guy since Romeo. I mean there was the weird "do i like Lupin?" phase, we got over it pretty fast, probably the best and most painless rejection thing thank goodness. Anyway, i'm sort of cautious... i like a guy. i LIKE a guy... and he won't even look my way you know? I'll get over it soon enough

Pure Imagination (Graduation)

Note about Graduation: Invite people you actually care about! muggle grandparents are amazing if you can actually talk to them. I know i must sound horrible, but there are some days in your life where things should just be about you. Graduation. Birthday's. Wedding. Wedding anniversary's.... So driving on the way there was pretty awkward, that's why i brought a book what book you ask? Oh the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss, now this book is great.. if you were happy about graduating which i am not, so i cried and cried and cried over this beautiful book. And then i read Lilly Potter's goodbye note to me, Lilly Evans, I was bawling.
i'm glad that once i got there i got to see my friends and we all compared Tassles and what not, i'm happy i got a hufflepuff tassle (it was white) and i got my theater thespian medallion, also wonderful. I got to sit next to Jame's Potter for graduation, it was pretty cool because we were first years together and we really grew up together. Nymphadora was our class singer, and she sang Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka, the highlight of our graduation, she was absolutley wonderful. She sang the glee version solo I'm crying listening to it right now...
I graduated... and that was the most PERFECT song. You have NOOOOOOO idea. She was so beautiful... I'm pretty sad about graduating but you know? Life will go on and i'll cry some more, many more times, and sometimes tears are happy too. Right now i have to pause because i simply cannot type more listening to this song

Prom

Scratchign my thinking cap. Its almost been a month since muggle senior prom. Now that said, i believe that the Yule Ball would've been more "my thing" you know? More magical, none of that muggle music, i could've danced with alot more people i actually know yeah yeah yeah. But Muggle prom was... ok. I got a slytherin dress, very daring very bold, being my die-hard hufflepuff type self. It was very pretty, i loved the way it looked black except in the sunlight you could see it was this dark beautiful mystical sea-green, it had jewels and i loved the fact that it sparkled, it had a jacket and everything (modest is hottest) and i got to get ready with Nymphadora. She was pretty awesome, we listened to muggle music (like Glee!!) and we talked alot which is strange because i usually don't open up to people. The before dinner was amazing, we went to Jame's house and we ate muggle foods, pizza, soda(in champagne glasses), chips galore. And all my other hogwarts students would be jealous to know- i got to ride in a Limo, which apparently just looks like a short night bus. It was long white and it was said to be "classical" We sang madonna and Journey, very classic and fun. When we got to the dance it took about 30 mins for most of the "muggle dancing" to take place, aka grinding, me being well me- i hid in a corner with Peter Pettigrew, my date. We danced, had a fun time, i was pretty disturbed by the grinding (these girls pay hundreds of dollars on dresses, just to shove them in other guys pants? Eww) and i did not like the fact all my group except for Peter and I were grinding (there were ten of us, mostly marauders) and i got just really angry and actually yelled at James something about being the leader and he should step up his game and i turn around and Remus was listening to every single word. You know those times that time seems to freeze without a time turner? The look of horror plastered in his face was a bad kind of priceless, it was awful and i just stormed out. I didn't really dance the rest of the night. Just talked with Peter and a couple of other muggle friends who also hated the grinding... Needless to say i expected that night to go differently. Next we went to Lupin's house for the after party... fun? Yes!!! it was surprisingly one of the most memorable nights ever, Lupin has a specific smell that makes me feel safe, and in a whole other world because Lupin has this other smell. I can't describe it, but imagine smelling roses all your life and then one day you smell lavender. Its different, but sometimes you need different. Sometimes you want to forget about everything else, so Lupin's house was full of Lupin smell and it made me feel like i was in a differnt world! We watched a muggle japanease film (castle in the sky) and then i got some grilled cheese which was delicious (i'm a vegetarian, and most people were not, so Mrs. L made some for me.. Thank you) and overall a very good night, most of us passed out on the floor and wherever i passed out on my dress. I sort of missed Romeo after seeing all the love around, but overall the group was back, where the actual prom was about the dancing, after prom was about the group... a perfect way to end the night. So what did i learn from prom? Getting ready .Dinner. Limo. After party.= AMAZING. Actual Prom= Not so much

Nice thing: Sarah wouldn't be so "goody goody" she knows how to have fun, where i am a stick in the mud in the corner.... note guys! Knows. How. to. Have. Fun, no not in that way you creepers! well i bet in that way too but she's my sister!

How Do I do it Again?

Ap's: Note. Taking four AP's? is stupid. highly discouraged. In high school that is, when you get to college by all means knock yourself out! Just not in high school. I took four AP's, AP Art History, the hardest exam out there because its straight out of your head, your own knowledge, when you go in for a AP lit test (which i also took) you have 17 years of english class behinds you- art history ? nothing, who knows anything about art history before the class? NO ONE!, so it has a huge curve which is supposed to be exciting and relaxing, but i have no idea what it means so what do i care? Besides lit and APAH, i had to do my art portfolios, drawing and photography, which sounds easy but its not at all its taking 30 of your precious works and sending them blindly to people for them to judge. and while i'm confident in my photography, i've never won a competition or anything and i've submitted to three competitions. So its getting harsh. And my drawings? Even harsher... Just plain brutal...

Speaking of brutal i have to get into this routine of not taking "good" as good enough, i like to be better, i like to be the best and i LOVE when people realize that. HORRIBLE HABIT, because it gets me into trouble. For example after Seussical starring as Gertrude Mcfuzz, i felt like a had to volunteer for Seussical Jr. and it totally suffocated me, so much stress because they were staging up to the last minute, a day before show. I had to help Horton and Gertrude alot and it was CRAZY but it helped, it was their first production ever and I have to say doing Seussical as their first production was a really risky move, but it paid off. I'm proud of them... next post? Muggle. Prom.
